Colorimetric adjusting brings a color-reproducing device to a predictable and measurable state. A monitor, scanner, camera, printer and printing process each “understand” color differently; the job of adjusting is to make them speak the same language, so that the image on the display matches what comes out of the device and the result can be repeated. Requires operator training and an X-Rite ColorChecker Digital SG or ColorChecker Passport test target.
