Colorimetric adjusting of equipment

Colorimetric adjusting brings a color-reproducing device to a predictable and measurable state. A monitor, scanner, camera, printer and printing process each “understand” color differently; the job of adjusting is to make them speak the same language, so that the image on the display matches what comes out of the device and the result can be repeated. Below is the list of work by equipment type.

Monitor colorimetric adjusting

  • Calibration and profiling of one monitor.
  • Software setup (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, CorelDraw, etc.) at one workstation.
  • Answers to all color-reproduction questions: communication with printing houses, use of color reference guides, soft proof and hard-copy proof, etc.

Price: €40–50

Scanner colorimetric adjusting

  • Calibration and profiling of one scanner.
  • Software setup (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, CorelDraw, etc.) at one workstation.
  • Answers to color-reproduction and color-profile questions during the work.

Price: €40

Not all scanners are worth adjusting. Feasibility is clarified separately — the scanner model and the name of its control software are required.

Digital camera colorimetric adjusting

Requires operator training and an X-Rite ColorChecker Digital SG or ColorChecker Passport test target.

  • Calibration and profiling of one digital camera.
  • Setup of Adobe Photoshop and other photo software (supporting color profiles) on one computer.
  • Answers to color-profile questions during the work.

Price: €140

Not all cameras are worth adjusting. Feasibility is clarified separately — the camera model is required.

Laser or inkjet printer colorimetric adjusting

  • Creation of one color profile for the printer.
  • Instrumental control of print conformance to ISO 12647-7.
  • Software setup (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, CorelDraw, etc.) at one workstation.
  • Answers to color-reproduction questions during the work.

Price: €125

Not all printers are worth adjusting. Feasibility is clarified separately — the printer model is required.

Inkjet printer colorimetric adjusting and digital proofing setup

  • Creation of one color profile for the inkjet printer, plus calibration and profiling of one monitor.
  • Instrumental control of print conformance to ISO 12647-7.
  • Software setup (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, CorelDraw, etc.) at one workstation.
  • Answers to color-reproduction questions: communication with printing houses, use of color reference guides, soft proof and hard-copy proof, etc.

Price: €140

Feasibility is clarified separately — the printer model is required.

Solvent printer colorimetric adjusting

  • Creation of three color profiles for one printer (for different materials or different print modes).
  • Answers to color-reproduction questions: communication with clients, image preparation for printing, etc.

Price: €140–200

Feasibility is clarified separately — the printer model is required.

Photo (mini)lab colorimetric adjusting

Requires operator training and the company’s own spectrophotometric or densitometric equipment.

  • Calibration and profiling of the photo lab.
  • Setup of Adobe Photoshop and other photo software (supporting color profiles) on one computer.
  • Answers to color-profile questions during the work.

Price: €140–200

Colorimetric adjusting of printing processes

  • Calibration and profiling of monitors.
  • Software setup (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, CorelDraw, etc.).
  • RIP and platemaking setup.
  • Linearization of the printing process.
  • Instrumental control of print conformance to ISO 12647-7.
  • Answers to color-reproduction questions: color profiles, color reference guides, soft proof and hard-copy proof, etc.

Price: by agreement. A contract is concluded with prepayment of an agreed amount.
