A predictable print result, not «about the same». Process audit and colorimetric adjusting of equipment to ISO 12647, implementation of a color management system, training of specialists. Offset, flexography, digital printing.
For printing companies — and for publishers, advertising agencies and design studios that need what comes off the press to match what was intended.
My name is Alexander Rudenko. For more than thirty years I have worked with color management in printing: colorimetric adjusting of displays, proofing devices and printing processes to ISO 12647, building predictable color in offset, flexographic and digital printing, automating prepress. I work with printing companies in several countries.
What I do
Colorimetric adjusting
Displays, scanners, printers, proofing devices and printing processes — brought into conformance with ISO 12647.
Process audit
Where exactly predictability is lost along the production chain: measurements, recommendations, verification of implementation.
Training
Practical sessions for the prepress department, the pressroom and sales managers.
The book
«Predictable Print Result» — on how to obtain the expected color at every stage: from the display to the press run. Scientific editors — Professor Y. V. Kuznetsov and Sergey Zinchenko (August Borg).
From practice
Articles for industry publications, «Notes of a Wise Technologist» — short analyses of real cases from printing companies, reports from round tables and presentations at the Printech and PrintPark forums. Published in Russian; translations are in preparation.
Recognition
ExxonMobil Chemical Films Europe OPPack Award, 2003 — for introducing a technology for printing on OPP film with conventional offset inks. The technology was implemented in printing companies in Latvia.
